The heavily-bearded Dan Haggerty would forever be in the hearts of fans of the1974 television movie “The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams” whose victory spawned a short lived show which ran on NBC from 1977 to 1978. Dan Haggerty Biography/Wiki — Early Life

Daniel Francis Haggerty was created onNovember 19, 1942, in Los Angeles California, but other sources assert his birthplace wasPound, Wisconsin. His parents split when he was three years old, but stayed active in his entire life. They needed him to become a priest and delivered in Culver City, California to seminary, but Dan had other plans up his sleeves. After needing to train as a priest, his father who had been a union of the movie technicians sent him to a military college, but the wildly-behaved Dan escaped a few occasions. In contrast to popular belief, Dan’s parents owned and operated a crazy animal attraction. Furthermore, his palms attempted getting a leather craftsman, and an ironworker.

Career

While working on the ranch, Dan became familiar with some movie manufacturers, and soon started appearing in movies as a creature handler.
